Hello again everyone!

Thanks for stopping by (again) today to have a look at my creations.

My first card this morning was a Halloween Card – and so is this second one. This holiday is just too much fun craftwise to not make anything for it. This time I used the “Witch on Pumpkin” stamp:

The card itself is pretty simple since I wanted the image to be the focus. So I used a white card base, added a layer of orange and black designer’s paper and some black cardstock on top of that. The next layer is cut from craft cardstock, where I also did my coloring on.

On the top of this layer I’d stamp the Halloween Text stamp. I love how the bats go with the image. I just used black ink to stamp the saying and added a few highlights to the bats with a white gelly marker.

And this is the image. It was my first try with Polychromos on craft cardstock – and my first try with Polychromos at all. To be honest – I didn’t expect the coloring to take that long! But I wanted the image to be bright and happy. So I’ve added a few layers of color, blending them together to not have any sharp edges. I definately need some more practice with the hair here!

In the end I added the blue background and used a white gelly marker again to add a few dots that were meant to be little stars shining in the distance.

A Halloween Card

Hello everyone!

October has come so fast and only 10 more days until Halloween. I love to do all kind of Halloween crafts – cards, little treats and decorations – even if we don’t celebrate it anymore like we did when our girls were little. But when can you use all those strong colors together without making your creation look weird? So my first project for today is a Halloween card:

It’s a smaller card, measuring about 12 x 12 cm. I used some orange cardstock in the background and stamped different stamps from the Splats Kit onto two of the corners. Since the card with it’s many layers is full enough, I wanted a quiet background. So instead of using dark ink I used golden embossing powder to add the splats.

Then I’ve added some corugated paper to the center of my card. On top of that I’ve put another piece of orange cardstock, using a color slightly darker than the background.

I also added two decagons and a strip of yellow cardstock before I attached the image.

This cute owl – and also the leaves and banner – are from the Halloween 2014 stamp set. The owl has been colored in with Copics. When I glued it onto my card I realized that I used browns on the feet as well but since there’s nowhere to sit on for this cutie it didn’t bother me.

The small leaves add a fall-ish touch and their size is also great to put them on different spots on the card, without drawing too much attention.

Magical Christmas

Base card 10x15cm

Stamp pad Distress oxide peeled paint green, wilted violet purple, broken china blue,

Waterproof black, gold.

Stamp Vilda V850, V832 Christmas balls, V804 text.

Silver cord

Wink or Stella Clear

Punch stars motif

Fineliner purple writing

Place a text in the middle at the bottom. Evaluate this and go on top. Beink the christmas or star with 3 color oxide ink. Do not let the balls hit each other. Decorate with little christmas balls. Paste the cut-out eye with a silver ribbon on top of the Christmas ball. Manually draw the purple ropes from the small balls. Optionally fill with small stars. Punch stars from purple and silver glitter cardboard. Paste everything according to example.

To give the card a Shiny effect with Wink or Stella draw horizontal and white stripes over the big Christmas balls. Or along the outer lines of the stars.

White Christmas Tree

Necessities
Base card light green 10.5 x 14.8 cm. Watercolor paper white: 10x 14.3 cm.
Stamp Vilda V718 Christmas tree, V804 text,
Stamp block clear rectangle
Water spray bottle
Stamp ink: Memento green Bamboo Leaves, Memento red Love letter, versamark clear, versa fine black waterproof.
Embossing powder white and heat tool
Different punches stars, paper green, red, gold.
Glitters red
Wink or Stella white writing.
Sewing machine with white wire.

Method
Block beink with red and green. Spray it with water and squeeze on watercolor paper. Allow to dry without lifting up a block.
After drying dry for 24 hours. On the colored section a white tree stamp with clear. Spread the white embossing powder into it. Heat
Place a text of your choice in corner. Go over the open parts of the tree with Wink or Stella for glitter effect.
Paste or sew as I did with sewing machine and glitter wire up the parts.
Decorate the card of your choice with sparkling stones and punched stars.

På detta kort har jag gjort bakgrunden med distress oxide. Jag har använt en massa olika stämplar för att kunna göra denna scen. Det är så kul!
