Mina barn brukar ha en bok att skriva sina läxor i… tex när dom övar på sina glosor och så. Nu har jag altrat en ny bok till dom som dom kan ha till nästa termin.

Jag har färgat in pappret med massa härliga distressfärger (fast jag får be om ursäkt för det dåliga fotandet, det var så dåligt ljus när jag fotade) Sen har jag gått lös på Vildas härliga stämplar. Dom flesta stämplarna kommer från kitet Scrap & mixed mediakit 2 V742. Men jag har också några bokstäver från Raka bokstäver och nummer V724.

Nu är det ju studenttider och jag har idag gjort ett studentkort till en tjej som nu tar studenten.

Har använt en student text som heter V598 på framsidan.

Och på insidan kommer den runda stämpeln från studentkitet V417 och Grattis till studenten kommer från kitet Tårta med texter V40.

Hello again!

Here I am back with another creation. Seems like I made this first posting day of mine a men’s day. After my baby boy card from this morning I made this gift box – also for a man – to share with you:

To me it’s hard – most times – to come up with an idea for a man’s gift. I don’t know about other countries, but here in Germany it’s very comon lately to make gifts in bags and boxes that contain tea, a well smelling bath mix, a tea light and matches and maybe some sweets. So I thought why not make something like this for a man as well? And which images could be more perfect for this idea than the Man in Bath # V295?! I love how he used soap for his clothes and himself – so manish! – and his unshaved legs. LOL He was colored with Copics.

The saying is again from the Bavarian stamp set German Lyrics Oktoberfest # V806. Its an english-bavarian mix to say “relax”. I hear my girls use this quota quite often. LOL

I made the box in the shape of a whine – or beer – barrell. I used brown cardstock with a light brown center, then dry embossed the pieces using a wooden texture embossing plate and sanded it to make the texture pop out more. The box is closed with some twine.

And this is what the box looks opened. I still have to fill it – I may add some soap, a can of beer and maybe a giftcard for a book store…

So, can’t wait for my day next month to share some more creations with you. ‘Till then – have a wonderful time!

Hello everyone!

Kathrin here and for my very first post on this blog I decided to make a baby card:

I tend to go traditionally in blue or pink when I make baby cards. I know, not everyone goes with these but I think if I use the traditional colors I can also go with some stronger tones.

Those Low Training Shoes # V671 are perfect for baby cards since they fit both girls and boys. I colored them with Copics, in a light blue to match the baby boy theme. I created a slightly dotted background around them to make them look even more dimensional.

As you know, I am from Germany. Better said, from Bavaria and I’ve grown up in Munich. So I totally fell in love with the bavarian slang stamp set German Lyrics Oktoberfest # V806. It’s hard to find sayings in the bavarian slang and these are just great! One of them says princess – and I just only stamped half of the word to get the word prince. 😉

Then I finished off the card with some stars, a baby body die cut and a large doily. To bring some contrast into my card I used black cardstock to mat some of the papers.
