Hello again!
Here I am back with another creation. Seems like I made this first posting day of mine a men’s day. After my baby boy card from this morning I made this gift box – also for a man – to share with you:
To me it’s hard – most times – to come up with an idea for a man’s gift. I don’t know about other countries, but here in Germany it’s very comon lately to make gifts in bags and boxes that contain tea, a well smelling bath mix, a tea light and matches and maybe some sweets. So I thought why not make something like this for a man as well? And which images could be more perfect for this idea than the Man in Bath # V295?! I love how he used soap for his clothes and himself – so manish! – and his unshaved legs. LOL He was colored with Copics.
The saying is again from the Bavarian stamp set German Lyrics Oktoberfest # V806. Its an english-bavarian mix to say “relax”. I hear my girls use this quota quite often. LOL
I made the box in the shape of a whine – or beer – barrell. I used brown cardstock with a light brown center, then dry embossed the pieces using a wooden texture embossing plate and sanded it to make the texture pop out more. The box is closed with some twine.
And this is what the box looks opened. I still have to fill it – I may add some soap, a can of beer and maybe a giftcard for a book store…
