Sari´s blogg

Happy pyssel 2 u all!

……………………….

My name is Sari and sometimes I call myself for ”the tag”. The reason for that being the fact that I just love to paper craft with the tag shape.

Some anecdotes about me: I love owls, cats, elephants and Halloween (witches). I become a child again, when I have the chance of working with those things.

I’ve had a fun journey of discoveries when it comes to paper crafting. Instead of just calling me a hobby crafter, I like to take part of something I call the art of paper crafting.

I started out scrapbooking in the year of 1996 or 1997. That was the deal then and there. Having tried out making mini albums and such, I realized that I’d rather make cards with different techniques and shapes. I also came to love specially folded cards.

When it comes to Tim Holtz and his wonderful distress products, I actually knew from the start that I wanted to work with them. But I must admit that I was really scared of doing wrong, why I didn’t dare to work with them. So most of the stuff just came to stand in the cupboards. Finally I decided on giving it a go, and I must tell you that it was about time!

I also love to work with different kinds of punches and dies, just because they let me off the hook easily – not having to cut so much by hand.

I love everything that looks old with a vintage or a steampunk feel to it. I want to continue developing in these areas, why I’m trying to take my paper crafting to another level. I’ve started making or altering boxes, baskets or decorative “paintings”.

I’m dreaming of being able to make different kinds of paper craft projects for people and for shops to sell.
My philosophy is to learn as much as I possibly can in order to inspire and teach others.

Happy crafting to you all!
