A christmas gift bag

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the Vildastamps Blog today. It’s my day to post – and I want to start the day with a little christmas gift bag.

Christmas is the time when we think of all those everyday angels in our lives, like the mail man, the garbage men… And we want to give them a little something as a thank you for their service during the year. I love to give handmade gifts. But considering all those angels out there you have to keep the gift wrapping simple. So for my first project of today I have made this to maybe give you an idea for a fast but still personal and handmade gift:

I used a bought grey and white striped gift bag here and stamped snowflakes from the stamp set German Christmas Lyrics V721 the all over it. Those got heat embossed with a metallic and greyish blue embossing powder to add some christmas feeling to the bag itself as well.

I folded the top of the bag and made thislittle banner to attach it to it. The banner itself has been handcut and I used one of the stamps from the Scrap and Mixed Media Kit 1 V741, stamped with grey ink, to add some texture. To the top of the banner I added a small clip cut from silver glitter paper and then attached a white star, a silver bell and a white bow to it.

Then I added the german saying from the German Christmas Lyrics 2 V805 to it. It says “we all know that christmas calories don’t count”. I stamped it twice and cut out the larger word, then re-attached it with some silver glitter paper underneath.

I plan to make more of these and fill them with some handmade cookies and maybe some tea. You see, it doesn’t always have to be the large gifts. A little something is enough to show that you appreciate their daily work.

See you all again later with my second project of today!

Hugs,

Kathrin
