Hello everyone!
Happy to see you again here today at Vildastamps Blog for my second project of today.
Well, I know, christmas comes first but we crafter always are a little ahead in time and so I am sharing a New Year’s Eve – or New Year’s gift – idea with you today:
I don’t know about where you live, but here in Germany we love those sparklers for New Year’s Eve – especially smaller kids since they can hold them even when they are little and they don’t make any loud noises. At Stempeleinmaleins we had a tutorial for this sparkler wrap some time ago which you can find – both in german and english – HERE if you want to make one yourself.
I’ve cut the base from black cardstock and the overlay from white cardstock, stamping and heat embossing little stars on the white cardstock using golden embossing powder. This was also used on the edges of the paper.
On the bottom there’s plenty of room for decorations. So I stamped the star from the Squares, Circle and Star stamp set using black ink and the cutting it out around the outlines. Then I used Versamark and golden embossing powder to stamp the Christmascollage English Lyrics on top of it. It still looked kind of plain to me, so I added the smaller of the baubles from the Steampunk Christmas stamp set having it heat embossed again and using 3D tape for some dimesions. Underneath I put the numbers 2017 having made this using my Dymo.
When glueing the star to my bag, I put some cheesecloth and black lace on it first.
To not only have golden stars on the top of my wrapper I stamped the Wish upon a star saying from the Steampunk Winter stamp set heat embossing it again, then cut it out using a circle punch and tied it to one of the sparklers with some golden twine.
Dear ones, I am wishing all of you a wonderful and peaceful christmas and a great 2017!
Hugs, Kathrin

Hello everyone!
We are close to christmas now – but someone is still in need of an idea for a winter-ish christmas card. I made this one and also wrote you how I made it:
I used the Christmascollage stamp on a light blue cardstock in the background – therefor I put a cut out circle in its middle so I would get a clean image where you can see through the wreath in its middle. Then I stamped on my blue cardstock all around and then stamped again only a part of the stamp in the middle of the paper. Then I used white embossing powder to heat emboss the image. To give it a softer look I put some vellum, cut just slightly smaller than the blue cardstock, on top of it. It was easy to glue it down without those ugly spots of glue that you get so easily on vellum by just adding glue to where the wreath covers it later.
In the middle there is this wreath. It’s made using the 3 different sizes of the Snowflakes stamp set. I’ve drawn a circle on white cardstock using a pencil and then used this as a guideline. I stamped the largest snowflake all around one, then used the middle sized on the outside of my wreath and the smallest on the inside. I used two different tones of blues to stamp the snowflakes. Then I cut out the wreath by hand – you really don’t have to be precise here – and covered everything with a clear embossing powder with some glitter in it. Then I used 3D tape to glue it to my card and added a bow with a little bell and two tiny stars to the top.
Then I used the smaller one of the Merry Christmas x2 sayings. When glueing it to my acrylic block I’ve bend it slightly and then cut the banner matching the stamp’s shape by hand.
As a finishing touch I added a few rhinestones to my card.
Have a happy day everyone!
Hugs, Kathrin

Hello Again Everyone! Today I want to share with you another Christmas Card that I created using some Gorgeous stamps from Vilda Stamps!
To make my card I used the following stamps: Hugging Gnome V234 that you can find in the Vilda Shop here:
http://shop.textalk.se/en/article.php?id=16232&art=10138414
and Steampunk Christmas With English Lyrics V847 that you can find in the shop here:
http://shop.textalk.se/en/article.php?id=16232&art=76088851
To create my card first I stamped the Gnome onto 110 lb. plain white card stock. Next I colored the image in with Copics, and then used a white paint pen to add the highlights. After that I cut the snow globe and then used Distress Ink in Mermaid Lagoon to create my background. Next I attached all of the layers to my card base and then added some foliage and a bow for some added interest. To finish I embossed my sentiment with the Winter Wishes stamp in white embossing powder at the top of my card. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope that you are inspired to try out your own creations with these Amazing stamps!
